(33) Hot Springs Feed and Transfer
Built: 1920
Address: 108 North Chicago Street
Hot Springs Feed and Transfer was utilized as a feed and transfer operation and later an automotive garage. In the 1970's the mansard roof was removed exposing the capitals of the four large pilasters- two at the building's corners and two flanking the central entrance. It is a well-proportioned building highlighted by the double row of dentils and pressed tin second cornice. Bronze glazing bars appear on the two front window areas. Notice the larger stones at the base of the buildings. These provide strength and distribute the weight of the building.
